When I previously did decor for my home, I was so overwhelmed with everything that I didn’t include a makeup vanity (GASP). Well, now I’m looking into different types of makeup vanities for inspiration and thought I’d share them with you!

When it comes to vanities, they are great in terms of comfort, storage, and decor; it makes the process of doing your makeup that much more enjoyable.

For me, the perfect vanity must have a few things:

Must-Have False Eyelashes

Whether you’re blessed with long lashes and just want to add a little volume, or you’re lacking in the length area, a good pair of false eyelashes (aka falsies) are always good to have on hand. My personal choice of falsies vary based on where I’m going and the time of day, but the great thing about them is that you can find a pair that meets your own personal needs!

After trial-and-error with various falsies, here are some staples that could fit well in any collection:

Best Natural: Ardell Natural Multipack Lashes 110 ($9) – These are the absolute top of the line ‘natural’ looking lashes I’ve ever found. They really do look natural but a bit thicker. Most people need to look fairly close up to see if they’re false or not and then they compliment me on them for looking so natural! To me, these are an amazing every day lash without being too in your face. Some mascara, these lashes and a thin eyeliner and you are all set.

Murad Skincare Review

I usually tend to have clear skin, until acne randomly decides to pop up and ruin my day. The past few months, my skin has been pretty great and has even had me rocking a fresh face most days. So when I received the Murad Skincare Voxbox from Influenster, I didn’t even know if I could give the most effective review. The box has been sitting around my house for a month and I even found myself hoping for acne lol. For anyone who knows me, I hate my acne, especially the fact that it just shows up randomly… but when it showed up this time, I was actually joyful because I can finally review the product!

I’ve never heard of Murad Skincare, so I really did not know what to expect from this company and their products. I received three products: 1) Clarifying Cleanser, 2) Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment, and 3) Oil-Control Mattifier. These products are supposed to treat breakouts, mattify skin, and control oil for up to 8 hours.

Must-Have Highlighters for Summer Makeup

Whenever summer comes around, I get so excited to experiment with my highlighters. I think the glowy lift that highlighters provide is perfect for the bright summer days. Over the past few months, I’ve been trying out new highlighters to add to my collection, here are my favorites for the perfect summer glow!

Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter – Molten Gold ($9.99): I really thought I was going to be underwhelmed by this. I’ve dropped serious dough on high-end highlighters and thought there was no way this could be better than what I already use. Well, I was totally wrong. Molten gold is perfect for looking sunkissed and glowing without the silvery-metallic that a lot of other highlighters use. It also doesn’t clump or crack during the day like my others have in the past. I’ve also used it as a body shimmer once but didn’t love it as much as I did using it on my cheeks, nose, and cupid’s bow. Seriously loved this highlighter and for the price it’s probably unbeatable!

5 Easy Vegan Meals

I don’t claim to be a health guru, vegan goddess or anything like that; but recently, I made the decision to follow a plant-based diet (if the food doesn’t come from plants, then I’m not interested). With my consistent weight gain over the years and declining health, I’m doing this to turn my life around for the better.

In theory, going vegan seems so easy, but one thing I’ve noticed is that finding fairly quick, easy, and DELICIOUS recipes is hard to do. After getting tired of only eating oatmeal and tons of plain fruits and vegetables every day, I decided to dive into the deep internet and try out as many recipes as possible until I find some that I love. I would say I’ve tried upward of 30 recipes so far and found 5 that I know I will definitely be trying again!

Finding the Perfect Lip Product (feat. BITE Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick)

What is the perfect lip product? Does it even exist?

I would say I’m a makeup enthusiast – I love finding, trying out and collecting the best makeup products – at this point I think I’ve found staple products for most of my makeup routine. However, one area that I’m not too proud of is my lip collection. I admire bold colors, but usually, I stick with a neutral lip … not only because neutral looks good, but also since there aren’t too many lip products that have met my expectations for the “perfect product”.

Things I look for when deciding on the perfect lip products :

1. Do I love the color?
2. Does the product match my complexion?
3. Is this a product that lasts all day? (at least 8 hours – through food, touches, etc)
4. Is the product creamy and hydrating? Or will my lips be patchy and dry?
5. Does it have a pleasant (or at least minimal) scent?

Home Decor Inspiration

We recently moved into our new place and hubby is allowing me to redecorate! I’m super excited, I spend all day on the internet looking at my “dream homes” so I’m finally putting that time to good use lol.

There are so many directions to go in when it comes to redecorating – I really love the minimalistic look of just black, grays and white. However, the upkeep of whites will not be the easiest. Do I really want to go down that road? Then again, I also love pastels (especially pinks, greens and blues). I guess it shouldn’t be so difficult picking out a style…but I really want both of us to feel comfortable in our home, along with providing an inviting environment for all of our guests.

The hair struggle has always been a huge issue for me. Going from relaxed to natural back to relaxed then cutting it all off and starting over again; my hair has been through TOO MUCH. Finding the perfect hair products is never easy, so I’m always up for trying new ones out.
